I started this space to serve as a log of my life, adventures and photographs. I write about the things I love, mainly: photography, art and the great outdoors. I also write occasional posts about my favorite material goods. Old Armstrong originally started as a photoblog but to entertain my penchant for writing, became a full-fledged blog in March of last year. I haven’t looked back since and now it’s become my pride and joy. I’ve met many awesome people through the site and I look forward to meeting more.

    About the Author:

I was born and raised in Germany and France and have lived the rest of my life in California. I’m a man of many trades, having worked in freelance design, photography and public health. I’m currently based in one of my favorite cities, San Francisco. On the evenings, you can find me in the museums, alleyways or bars across town. As you probably gathered from my posts, I’m an avid camera collector and memory keeper. My friends will attest to how often my camera goes with me everywhere. I currently shoot with a Leica M6 and a Contax T2.

    Contact Info:

If you’d like to contact me, send an email to hello [at] oldarmstrong.com. In the past, I’ve received requests to promote websites, material goods or photography projects. I honor all requests and as long as they fit with the site, I’m happy to give you some internet time.

Thanks for stopping by. Stay awhile and make yourself at home.
